Steir. Crosslaufmeisterschaften 2017
Mit einem starken Damenteam starteten wir bei eisigen und extrem rutschigen Bedingungen in die neue Saison. Ursula Kadan (x-fache Orientierungslaufstaatsmeisterin), Martina Walch, Anna Groß (Allg. Damenkategorie) sowie Carina Reicht (U18) vertraten unser Team auf der anspruchsvollen Strecke im Grazer Rosenhain ausgezeichnet und sowohl Ursi als auch Carina konnten klare Siege feiern. Erstmals bei einem Crosslauf am Start lief auch Anna, als 18 Jährige eigentlich noch in der U20 startberechtigt, in der Allgemeinen Klasse im Spitzenfeld und finishte am 9. Platz. Martina überknöchelte leider und mußte infolge aufgeben. Dennoch ein sehr erfreulicher Auftakt für unser Damenteam; herzliche Gratulation.

Montefortiana-Tura
Den internationalen Auftakt bildete der Start beim traditionellen Montefortiana-Tura Halbmarathon in Italien. Neben einem unserer Aushängeschilder Paul Kariuki MWANGI vertraten auch unsere Neuzugänge Pamela Chemurgor TALAM und Michael Kipkemboi CHELULE unser Team. Nach kontrolliertem Rennverlauf (der Bewerb war als Trainingswettkampf geplant) siegten die Debütanten Pamela und Michael; Paul wurde Zweiter. Nun heisst es für die 3 sich an die kalten Bedingungen in Europa zu gewöhnen um an den kommenden 2 Wochenenden bei Bewerben mit starker Konkurrenz ihre guten Trainingsleistungen abrufen zu können.
